Lord Vishnu is known as "palan-karta" means the God responsible for our well being! On of the names of Lord Vishnu is Venkatesh ---- in India we have a temple at Tirupati (near Chennai) known as Tirupati-Balaji, it is said to be the richest temple of our country.
